Recently, the world-class professionalintelligence agency Thomson Reuters has announced the list of "HighlyCited Researchers 2015". NEU professor Zhang Huaguang, who honored as Cheung Kong Scholar and IEEE Fellow wasselected as one of the highly cited researchers in the field of engineeringwhere 157 scientists in total was selected worldwide.
Thehighly cited researchers announced this time were from 21 subject areasincluding materials, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, etc. Among all the2975 (3125person-time) selected researchers, 148 (167 person-time) of them wereform China, and Zhang was the only one in NEU that has been selected.
Theacquisition of this honor showed the great progress that professor Zhang has madein this field, and it also indicated the worldwide influence he has possessed.Zhang was also select as one of the 2014 highly cited researchers released by Elsevieracademic publishing group.
ProfessorZhang is a valid candidate of academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences in2013 and 2015, he has long been engaged in the intelligent adaptive controltheory and applied research of the complex nonlinear system, and he haspresided over two National Natural Science Fund Projects, one national 973task, and other more than 20 National projects. He has published 200 more articlesrecorded by SCI in international academic journals, and he has published threeEnglish monographs in the world most noted Springer academic publishing housesand Birkhauser Press. Many academic achievements made by him have already beenbut into industrial practice. In terms of awards, he has won two GenevaInternational Invention Fair Gold awards, moreover, he has also won the secondprize of National Technology Invention award and the National Science andTechnology Progress Award, the first prize of Natural Science of Ministry ofEducation award, Liaoning Province Natural Science award and Liaoning ProvinceTechnology Invention award, etc.
